The ability to fax from any application in Mac OS is probably one of the most underused but simplest features of the Mac.
Anything you can print on your Mac you can fax but you need an application like PageSender to do it although you'll need to make sure that your Mac has an internal or external modem. Alternatively you can opt to send your fax via services such as eFax, jConnect, EasyLink, MyFax.com, Fax.com, Fax.de or MaxEmail.
You can access it via the print dialogue from any application. Simply select "Print" and in the print dialogue, make sure that PageSender-Fax is selected as both your printer and presets box. You can add a cover page by selecting the cover page tab, add a PDF attachment and also import contacts from Address Book. Then simply click "Print" and your fax will be on it's way. PageSender opens and will notify you if it's been sent successfully or not. Within the application interface, you can resend, pause and cancel faxes, amongst other things.
PageSender is a simple, functional and elegant fax interface that provides all of your faxing needs from your Mac.
